Ernst Garnishment(delivered Basel, Swiss 18 Nov 1895, died Morges, Switzerland 19 April 1981) had been a Swiss musicologist, composer, pianist and conductor.
He analyzed with Egon Petri and Raoul Pugno.1David Dubal describes him as an 'unusual and powerful pianist' who produced 'grandly developed' recordings of the past due Beethoven sonatas and captured 'the quite essence of the Faustian Liszt'.1His work as a musicologist and teacher delivered him to the United Expresses, where he taught at schools like the Massachusetts Start of Technologies, the School of Chi town and the New Britain Conservatory; he furthermore grew to become a United Says resident.2In 1966 he patterns are released from academia and came back to his native Swiss where he invested the rest of his living.
Garnishment's bookA Theory of Balancehas been published in 1985 and, among additional contemporary compositional concepts, describes the composer's concept of harmonic 'undertones'.
